Best shoes ever

I already bought the same shoes only in different color and now I bought second pair. That speaks about how awesome the shoes are.

So comfortable, GREAT for dancing!

I do a lot of Scottish dancing, where wearing heels is dangerous (more for others than you), and covered shoes are important for protecting your own feet.
I wore these for the first time at a ball, where we danced for about five and a half hours straight. Normally, I have to use vast quantities of blister plasters and pain killers to manage the feet situation that comes with long periods of enthusiastic dancing, but I had none of that this time! My feet were nearly as comfortable when we finished as they were when we started.
I've honestly never been more impressed with a pair of shoes for Reeling.

As an added bonus, they're gorgeous

The only not 100% positive thing I have to say about them is that the aglets (the bits at the end of the laces that stop them from fraying) seem to be plastic, which is understandable, but ever so slightly disappointing.

The eyelets are sewn, and the edges are finished with grosgrain ribbon. The colour is quite a bit darker than it appeared in the photos on my screen, but still very pretty. They are true to size.

Great shoes

These are my new favourite shoes and I wear them everyday, all the time! They are beautifully made and as they are leather they streched to fit my wider front without sacrificing the fit of my narrow heel. I always struggle with shoes but these were a life saver. The only slightly negative side is that as the sole is leather they do wear down pretty fast and I ended up putting some rubber soles in just for longevity. 10/10 otherwise, would recommend!

Very nice and so soft!

I love these boots, and the finish is excellent. The eyelids are stitched which makes them great for reenactment. The leather is super soft and they will most likely get even softer over time (like my other boots). I'm also super happy with the rounded nose, they are very comfortable to wear. Recommended! And next year I'll probably get them in another colour.

Just Right

I have a foot between 37 and 38 and the AD size 7 fits in all the styles I have purchased, including this one. The soft leather on these boots and smaller footprint allow the shoe to hug the foot for the slimmer line you see in the period engravings (or at least that's my guess as to why, as I'm no professional shoemaker!). Even though these shoes are made in a modern factory, the details help hide or distract from this, like the thread (not metal) eyelets and the grosgrain ribbon edging. They are a little pricey, but the fit and quality still make me feel like it was good buy, and the neutral color and broader date range mean they will go with a number of Regency styles.
